Alan R. Dynes Insurance Agency was founded by Alan R. Dynes in 1985 with the primary objective of serving our clients needs above and beyond what they would expect from typical insurance agencies. That premise remains true today. As such, we have developed specializations and obtained the best companies and resources to reach those goals. We remain committed to the initial objective of Alan R. Dynes and his purpose for establishing this agency.

Brandon D. R. Dynes, Esq.
President/General Counsel

Brandon grew up locally and attended Riverside High School .  He then attended and graduated from Bowling Green State University .  After graduation he worked for Lake County Prosecutor Steve LaTourette and attended Capital University Law School where he graduated in 1997. He became a licensed attorney that same year and was admitted to practice in Federal Court as well.  He began practicing law as in-house counsel for Nationwide Insurance in Cleveland . He defended Nationwide Insurance and its insureds against suits brought against each of them. He continued his corporate and individual civil defense litigation practice with Williams, Sennett & Scully (now Williams, Moliterno & Scully) where he represented approximately 10 multi-national insurance companies and their insureds as well as Giant Eagle, Goodyear, Rubbermaid, and others.   While serving as trial counsel in both positions he obtained experience in risk assessment, understanding insurance policies and coverages, and also became an accomplished trial attorney, trying cases before judges and juries all across Ohio . Brandon also is a licensed insurance agent and manages all operations of the agency.  He counsels clients and prospective clients in risk assessment, securing the appropriate coverage for their needs and handles claims situations.  He also serves as an important liaison between the agency and the insurance companies always working to obtain better pricing for the agency’s clients. 

Nate M. Crosby
Producer/Director of Sales and Marketing

Nate grew up in Jeromesville , Ohio ( Ashland County ) where he learned the value of a long days’ hard work while bailing hay, etc. on some of the local farms.  He attended Hillsdale High School where he starred as a football player.  He then went on to further his educational and football career at Mount Union College where he started and played on three national champion football teams as a cornerback.  Nate graduated from Mount Union in 2000.  Nate primarily works with commercial insurance sales and also sells life and health insurance.  Nate successfully secures highly competitive commercial insurance premiums and coverages for his clients and works with them to be sure that all of their business assets are appropriately covered and protected.  His first priority is to solve his clients’ and potential clients’ insurance issues and to assist them in cutting costs thereby increasing their bottom line.  He advises them professionally, efficiently and economically and in most cases is able to provide more coverage at a lower price.

Michelle Cambier
Commercial Lines CISR

Michelle joined the agency at its inception in 1985 shortly after graduating from Riverside High School . She was licensed to sell property and casualty insurance that same year and subsequently obtained her CISR designation as well. Michelle specializes in commercial insurance where she actively manages our current clients while also working to secure coverage for our new prospective clients.  She also handles all of our clients’ bonding needs whether they be contract bonds, surety bonds, etc.  Michelle brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our agency and to our clients. 

Ellen Phillipp
Personal Lines CSR

Ellen is a graduate of Madison High School and Lakeland Community College .  She previously worked for another Lake County insurance agency and has worked in customer service in other organizations which is evident in her professional attitude and exemplary service.  Ellen specializes in personal insurance such as home, auto, umbrella, motorcycle, etc.  She also brings a great deal of experience to us in managing business functions through her past business ownership.  In her spare time she is an accomplished costumer.  She designs and creates costumes and other clothing for special events and historical productions, among other things.  Ellen is a tremendous asset to our agency and to all of our clients. 

Connie Kovacich
Personal Lines CSR
 
Connie has worked in insurance agencies for 18 years.  Therefore, Connie brings a tremendous amount of experience to us and to our clients.  She is our other personal lines specialist working to obtain coverage for homes, autos, personal liability (umbrella), motorcycles, etc.  Our clients are benefited by her acute knowledge of appropriate coverage and her ability to find the best price for the same.  Connie is also very skilled in managing business flow and processes.  Connie and her family reside in Chardon. 

Mary Joughin
Accountant
 
Mary obtained her degree in accounting (summa cum laude) from Kent State University and a BSBA (summa cum laude) with a concentration in accounting from Myers University .  Mary joined our firm in 2005 and has assumed all of our in-house corporate accounting duties.  She and her husband are owners of a farm and horses which she enjoys riding in her spare time.
